  Subject Areas

Choose from the links above to view our Curriculum Areas.

Our aim is to enable all children at St Josephs to reach their full academic, social and personal potential. Our curriculum is made up of a range of activities and experiences designed to promote spiritual, moral, cultural, social, intellectual and physical development.

It is made up of:

  • the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum
  • the national requirements for religious education
  • other subjects and areas of experience both inside and outside the classroom environment.

We aim to make the curriculum relevant to the community and the wider world in which pupils live. The knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding learned in school relate to school life, home and family, the world of work, leisure activities and the environment.

We encourage children to learn across the whole range of their experience, using  problem solving, investigative, analytical, study and creative skills.
